SAN ANGELO, TX – Congressman August Pfluger of San Angelo announced Wednesday that he will be running for re-election in the March 1, 2022 Republican Primary.
"Today, I am proud and humbled to officially announce my campaign for reelection to Texas' 11th Congressional District in the United States Congress," stated Pfluger. "It is one of my greatest honors in life to represent the great people of Tx11 - championing our shared values. I hope I can count on your support to continue the fight for our conservative, Texas values in Congress."
Pfluger won his 2020 election by and land slide defeating ten primary opponents including Wacey Alpha Cody and then drumming Democrat San Angelo Attorney John Mark Hogg in the General Election.
"I'm running for re-election because we have the unprecedented opportunity to take back Congress in 2022 and keep Texas red. 2022 is the year we restore common sense and save America," stated Pfluger. "I'm all in, an I ask the hard working men and women of Texas' 11th Congressional District to join or fight for America."
It is unknown at this time if anyone will challenge Pfluger. Last cycle, 11 candidates attempted to stop Pfluger but none were successful.
