ABILENE, TX – As the Central Bobcats get ready to take on the Abilene Eagles Thursday, the playoff picture is getting clearer.
The Central Bobcats have one more district game to play before the playoffs and it looks to be another tough match-up as they will travel to Abilene on Thursday to take on Da’King, Ramirez, and the Abilene Eagles.
Already playoff bound, Central will have to stay focused on stopping the running game of Abilene where Abel Ramirez and Da’King Thomas have 1,574 yards and 25 touchdowns combined.
Central has had trouble stopping the run giving up 239 yards to Midland Legacy, 275 to Permian, and 303 yards to Frenship.
It may be a good idea to work on their run defense as potential playoff opponent, the Pebble Hills Spartans, have quarterback Gael Ochoa who has 910 yards and 17 touchdowns on the ground.
The Bobcats will have to stop the run and force the Spartan quarterback to pass the ball. Ochoa has 1,364 yard through the air with 11 touchdowns and 8 interceptions on the season.
Central is already a lock for the playoffs so taking this last game to work on the weak areas of the team would only help them come the playoffs.
