Legendary Music Venue 'The Lumberyard' Destroyed in Horrific Fire

 

ROSCOE, TX –– The famous music venue 'The Lumberyard' in Roscoe is a total loss after a massive fire destroyed it on Friday morning.

According to the Roscoe Volunteer Fire Department, the fire began at approximately 1:00 a.m. 

No injuries were reported as a result of the fire, and the venue appears to be a total loss.

The area near downtown Roscoe was shut down as crews worked to extinguish the fire and clean up the area.

The Lumberyard hosted several famous artists over the years including Merle Haggard, John Anderson, and Wynonna Judd among others.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
