Former Hardin Simmons and McMurray Athlete to Compete in Paralympics

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – A track and field athlete who ran for Hardin Simmons University and McMurray will compete at the 2021 Paralympics.

Tanner Wright will make his Paralympics debut, qualifying in the 100, 400, and long jump. His events for the Paralympics have not been announced yet.

Wright is currently a graduate student for Hardin Simmons.

Wright suffered from Arthrogryposis. Arthrogyposis is a term used to describe several conditions involving multiple joint contractures.

The Tokyo Paralympics were scheduled for last summer but were moved due to COVID. They will be held from August 24th - September 5th.
