DALLAS,TX – The search for a new head coach is over for the Dallas Mavericks.
The Mavericks this week reached an agreement with Hall of Famer and former Maverick point guard, Jason Kidd, to become the next head coach of the Dallas Mavericks.
Not only has Mark Cuban found a new head coach, he also hired a new general manager. Former Nike executive Nico Harrison will serve as the G.M. and will also take over the basketball operations for the team.
Kidd isn’t the only former Maverick to rejoin the team this year. Maverick’s legend, Dirk Nowitzki, signed on as a special advisor to assist the team in finding their head coach and general manager.
Earlier this month, Rick Carlisle, who coached the Mavericks for 13 seasons, parted ways with the Mavericks and that very same week, Donnie Nelson, the team’s general manager, also departed the team.
