SAN ANGELO, TX — “Luckily no drugs or alcohol were involved,” said a San Angelo Police Department officer Tuesday night following a rollover crash on the southwest side of town.
According to the officer on scene, on May 25 at around 10 p.m., officers with the SAPD were dispatched to the on ramp of W. Loop 306 next to the Sunset Mall for the report of a rollover crash. The crash scene was near Chili's restaurant.
When officers arrived they found a SUV that had rolled over just past the ramp and took out a guard rail.
The only occupant did not get taken by ambulance but said he would go to the hospital to get checked for injuries on his own.
SAPD Officers confirmed that the the SUV was attempting to enter the left lane once entering the loop. The driver overcorrected after driving past the left lane and rolled the vehicle.
Officer said that drugs nor alcohol were involved in the crash.
