UPDATE: Snyder Crime Scene Turns Into Capital Murder Investigation

 

SNYDER, TX – The Snyder Police Department confirmed Tuesday that the 27-year-old woman found unconscious last week in a Snyder apartment complex next to a deceased baby will now face a capital murder charge.

The Snyder Police Department has now released additional information stating that a 3-year-old boy, James Russell, was found dead inside the apartment. A 27-year-old woman, Caitlin Tucker, was also found in the apartment with life-threatening injuries.

A week after the initial incident a capital murder warrant was issued for Tucker.

KTXS spoke with a resident of the complex who claimed the two lived together. Police have not confirmed how they are related.

Capital murder in Texas is punishable by life in prison or death.
