UPDATE: Texas Rangers and Snyder PD Investigating Death of 3-Year-Old

 

SNYDER, TX – The Snyder Police Department has released an update regarding the crime that occurred Tuesday night in which the Texas Rangers were called in to investigate.

As previously reported, on May 18, officers with the Snyder Police Department and the Texas Rangers were dispatched to an apartment complex in Snyder. See the original story here:

The Snyder Police Department has now released additional information stating that a 3-year-old boy was found dead inside the apartment. A 27-year-old woman was also found in the apartment with life-threatening injuries.

No names have been released at this time. The PD has confirmed that there is no threat to the community. No suspect has been identified either. 

The boy's body was taken to Lubbock for an autopsy. The woman is currently being treated for her injuries at Cogdell Memorial Hospital. She is currenlty in the ICU. 

The Texas Rangers confirmed that the Snyder PD are taking the lead in the investigation.
