Murder Trial Suspect Out on Bond After Drunken Fight

SAN ANGELO, TX – A suspect awaiting a murder trial was booked back into jail after getting into an intoxicated fight in April.

As reported on Monday's Booking Report, on May 17, Lisa Clemons, 38, of San Angelo was booked into the Tom Green County Detention Facility for going off bond on a murder charge. Clemons was booked and released on the same day after posting a $150,000 bond.

Clemons was first arrested in June of 2020 for the alleged murder of her husband, 38-year-old Antonio Fletcher. Fletcher was shot in the left cheek.

Clemons spent over four months in jail before finally posting her $100,000 bond on Oct. 28. On Nov. 25 Clemons was booked back into the jail for going off bond for murder and going off bond for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The court then decided on Dec. 1 to lower Clemons bond to $50,000. Clemons got her affairs in order and was able to once again make bail on Dec. 22.

Then according to court documents on April 25, in Tom Green County, Clemons was arrested for public intoxication and disorderly conduct, fighting. During the booking process, Clemons made threatening comments towards officers, resisted and attempted to strike officers.

Clemons was released from jail the same day on a Personal Recognizance Bond. This prompted the state to file another going off bond for Clemons' murder charge. In the motion Clemons' bond went up to $150,000 and multiple stipulations were placed on the bond. The following are the stipulations:

1. The Defendant shall not violate any penal law of this state or the United States;

2. The Defendant shall not go to the premises of any business that has as its primary form of business the sale of alcoholic beverages, such as bars and package liquor stores;

3. Defendant is prohibited from consuming or ingesting in an way, any alcoholic beverage, marijuana, or controlled substances, unless under the directive of a physician;

4. Defendant shall remain at her residence from 11 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. every day.

5. Defendant is not to communicate with, contact, or associate with, in any manner, the persons named in the "Agreed Order on State's Motion To Add Conditions of Bond" dated November 10, 2020. 

6. Defendant is not to go within 1,000 feet of the locations described in the "Agreed Order on State's Motion To Add Conditions of Bond" dated November 10, 2020, a copy of which is attached. 

7. Defendant is prohibited from possession any firearm.

The location and people described in the "Agreed Order on State's Motion To Add Conditions of Bond"  are victims and locations of victims involved in the murder case.
