Tornado Watch Issued for All of West Central Texas Wednesday Evening

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center in Norman, OK has issued Tornado Watch for the Concho Valley until 9 p.m. Wednesday night. 

The Tornado Watch includes the Big Country and the Heartland.  

In San Angelo there is a 50 percent chance of strong to severe thunderstorms mainly after 4 p.m.

A cold front will blow through the area creating instability in the atmosphere with high humidities and temperatures in the upper 80s.  

There is also a 40 percent chance of thunderstorms through Thursday night.  

A Tornado Watch means conditions are present for tornados to form.  

This is a developing weather situation.
