Lubbock ISD Police Officer Arrested for Drunk Driving

 

LUBBOCK, TX – The Lubbock Police Department has confirmed a Lubbock school district police officer was arrested for driving drunk over the weekend.

According to LPD, 58-year-old Frank Salas Picon was arrested after he rear-ended a vehicle just before midnight on Saturday.

During a search of a vehicle, officers found an open container. Officers also noted Picon's speech was slurred and he had a difficult time walking.

According to Lubbock ISD, Picon was placed on administrative leave with pay as an investigation is underway.

Picon was released after posting a $15,000 bond.
