Crash Shuts Down Traffic Near Fannin Elementary

 

UPDATE: According to an officer with the San Angelo Police Department, the Chevy failed to yield the right of way and caused the crash. The driver was cited for the traffic violation. The officer also said that two people were taken to the hospital by personal vehicle. 

SAN ANGELO, TX — A crash on Edmund Boulevard near Fannin Elementary is causing traffic to be rerouted in both directions.

The crash occurred about 2:15 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Edmund Boulevard and Louise Drive.

A red Chevy Traverse was left sitting in the middle of the road after it was struck on the driver’s side rear door by a black Hyundai Sonata.

A woman and a child were both being evaluated by medical personnel at the crash.
