Texas Man Arrested After Murdering Mom and Sister

ALLEN, TX -- A 20-year-old Dallas man is in custody after police say he murdered his mother and sister.

According to the Allen Police Department, officers were dispatched to the home for reports of a “disturbance with weapons.”

When officers arrived at the scene, they located the bodies of 51-year-old Isil Borat and her 17-year-old daughter Burcu Hezar inside their home.

Seargent Jon Felty of Allen PD confirmed the victims appeared to have been fatally stabbed.

The suspect, identified as 20-year-old Burak Hezar, was found inside the property by his stepfather. He would then flee the home before police arrived.

Hezar took his stepfather's cellphone and drive to DFW airport in an attempt to catch a flight to California. According to authorities Hezar's father lived in that state.

As police searched DFW, they realized Hezar was now attempting to rent a car in order to escape police.

The suspect was arrested and charged with two counts of capital murder. His bond was set at $2 million.
