SAN ANTONIO, TX – An argument over money led to an escalated fight between a mother and son in San Antonio.
According to SAPD, on Saturday officers were dispatched to O'Conner Cove in San Antonio. According to a female victim, her 17-year-old had attacked her with a box cutter,
According to court documents, the victim's son, identified as Luke Christopher Rosemond, allegedly sent himself $300 from his mother's bank account.
When the victim confronted Rosemond, she said she was going to call the police and make a theft report. Rosemond then threatened to steal her vehicle since she was already accusing him of theft."
Rosemond then followed his mother outside while holding a box-cutter. The suspect attempted to open the car door, but the victim managed to close the door.
Rosemond then went around the car and began cutting the car's hood and roof and scratching the windshield.
When the victim tried to stop her son, he "aggressively rushed towards" her swinging the box cutter in a "downward motion trying to stab" her.
When officers arrived at the scene they learned Rosemond had barricaded himself the home as the rest of the family was safely evacuated. Officers also found the victim had a small cut to her left shoulder and right hand.
A standoff lasted several hours and Rosemond was eventually taken into custody without incident.
