SAN ANGELO,TX- Christian Nicholas Garcia-Figueroa has been indicted by a Tom Green County grand jury in March for Online Solicitation of a Minor.
The Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigation Division conducted an online solicitation investigation from October 29, 2020 through November 18, 2020. During the investigation, a special agent created an undercover profile on a social media site/chat platform.
A suspect’s profile titled “Carlos” and “Yandel” came into contact with the undercover profile before the suspect was told that the undercover officer was a minor. The suspect continued to communicate with the officer and expressed the intention to have sexual contact with the “minor”.
The suspect then acted on this intent by showing up to a predetermined location at the arranged time for the purpose of sexual contact while under the impression that the undercover officer was a minor.
When he arrived, he was detained and identified as Christian Nicholas Garica-Figueroa. He was read his rights and then requested a lawyer.
Garica-Figueroa has also sent pictures to the “minor” showing his pelvic area with an erect sexual organ. He refused to let officers search his cellphone. It was then confirmed that Garcia-Figueroa had been the one in contact with the officer after the undercover officer sent a message to the suspect’s cell phone. He was then arrested.
Christian Nicholas Garcia-Figueroa was booked on November 18th, 2020 and posted a $10,000.00 bond the next day. Garcia-Figueroa is not currently an inmate at the TGCDF.
