Border Patrol: Premature Baby Dies After Migrant Mother Suffers Complications

 

HIDALGO, TX -- U.S. Customs and Border Protection has confirmed a pregnant migrant woman lost her baby after going into labor early.

According to CBP, border agents working near Hidalgo found a pregnant woman in need of medical attention near the Rio Grande on Wednesday.

After notifying EMS, the expectant mother was transported to a local hospital to receive medical attention.

On Thursday, hospital staff confirmed the baby was born prematurely and passed away from complications.
