SAN ANGELO, TX – The man who was caught on camera masturbating at a local park was sentenced to three years in prison.
According to court documents, on Mar. 16, Salvador Caballero was sent to prison after pleading guilty for indecency with a child by exposure and possession of a controlled substance.
As previously reported, on Feb. 21, a video surfaced of a San Angelo citizen confronting a man who was masturbating at a local park.
The same day officers with the San Angelo Police Department identified the man as Salvador Caballero, 45, of San Angelo.
A warrant was obtained and the SAPD arrested Caballero for indecent with a child by exposure. During the arrest Caballero was also in possession of methamphetamine.
Caballero was booked into the Tom Green County Jail and was indicted for the charges on May 12, 2020. He remained in the detention facility until Mar. 16, 2021.
On Feb. 9, Caballero took a plea deal that gave him three years for the indecent exposure charge and 350 days for the possession of a controlled substance. He will also have to pay $180 in restitution.
Caballero got 355 days credit for time served that will be taken off of his sentence.
Caballero left the Tom Green County Detention Facility at 7:13 a.m.
