Suspect Indicted for Meth Possession and Evading Arrest

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – Christopher Contreras has been indicted by a Tom Green County grand jury in February on possession of a controlled substance 1 <1G, evading arrest or detention with a vehicle, and tampering with physical evidence.

A San Angelo Police Officer administered a traffic stop for a defective stop lamp. Contreras then began to evade law enforcement in a vehicle. 

Contreras tossed a torn bag of methamphetamine while evading and had meth on his shirt and vehicle and admitted to the officer that he tore open a bag with 2 “points” and tossed it into the road. Contreras also had used needles and small baggies and was found to have violated his parole.

Christopher Contreras was booked into the TGCDF on December 7th, 2020 and is still an inmate. Contreras’ bond has been set at $42,500.00.
