Deputies Detain Two Suspects Tied to 33 Vehicle Burglaries and Two Car Thefts

Tom Green County Sheriff’s Deputies recovered several items taken in a rash of vehicle burglaries on Tuesday, when they executed a search warrant in the 10700 block of West Indian Creek in Grape Creek.

The burglaries had taken place on Dec. 11, and included 33 vehicles, as well as two stolen cars. Christmas presents and valuables left in the vehicles were among the items stolen, said investigator Lt. Terry Lowe.

Two suspects were located and taken into custody on Wednesday in a cooperative effort between the Sheriff’s Office and the San Angelo Police Department. The suspects include a juvenile detained on an order of apprehension and 17-year-old Joseph Holt Jr., who is listed as a resident of San Angelo. Holt was arrested on an outstanding warrant for credit card abuse.

This investigation is ongoing and additional charges are expected.

Wow... they're both under 18. I'm surprised they weren't given a stern look and handed over to their parents.
