City to Distribute Free Water at Coliseum Tuesday Afternoon

SAN ANGELO, TX -- The City of San Angelo will be distributing cases of water for those affected by the ongoing water crisis.

Earlier today the city issued a disaster declaration that allows officials to request funding and Bottled water for distribution.

The distribution will begin Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Foster Communications Coliseum. The distribution will operate on a first-come, first-served basis until the supplies run out or people no longer show up.

In a press conference earlier this afternoon, officials announced a part of the Water Utilities system could be reopened after City and State engineers isolated the incidences of suspected contamination to include only the largest part of the water distribution system.

City officials expect to have more trucks coming to San Angelo with water tomorrow.
