Three people were rushed to the hospital after a two-vehicle crash on West Beauregard Avenue at Van Buren Street Thursday night at 6:45 p.m.
A white, late-model Chevrolet Malibu was westbound on W. Beauregard Avenue. There is a traffic light at the Van Buren intersection. The Malibu driver didn’t see it.
Meanwhile. A black and late-model Jeep Cherokee was southbound Van Buren and traversing through the intersection. The Malibu crashed into the side of the Cherokee.
The two occupants of the Cherokee and the sole occupant driver of the Malibu were rushed to Shannon Medical Center with injuries.
Police said that two citations have been issued, both to the driver of the Malibu. One is for failure to yield right-of-way. The other is for not wearing a seatbelt.
