Another Meth Head Caught Displaying Stash

In Paris, everyone walks around with a baguette sticking out of a bag that’s too small to carry it, in what would appear to be a status symbol of the folk. In drug circles, the trend seems to be driving around with your plastic baggy of substance proudly displayed where any officer of the law may discover it in a routine traffic stop. Some may as well just staple it to their shirts.

On Saturday at approximately 9:30 p.m. yet another meth head with his stash on display engaged in a half-mile sprint before being caught and arrested by the officer who had stopped him.

The events began in the Stripes Parking lot at 1322 S Bryant, where Officer C Schneider ran the license plate of a vehicle driven by Justin Adame, 26, which returned that the registration was expired.

Adame then left the parking lot in the vehicle and was subsequently stopped in the 400 block of W Ave. I. During the stop, Adame gave Officer Schneider a fake name, and Schneider noticed that the registration sticker belonged to an entirely different vehicle.

At this point, the driver was asked to step out of the vehicle, when Officer Schneider noticed a plastic baggy of a crystal-like substance that field tested positive for meth. As Schneider asked Adame about the substance, the perp fled on foot, running from the 400 block of W Ave. I to the 1200 block of S David, where he was taken into custody.

Justin Adame was arrested for City Warrants, Possession of a Controlled Substance > 1gram, Fail to ID Fugitive from Justice, and Evading Arrest.  Adame was transported to jail with no further incident.
