ABILENE, TX -- Nearly four months after pleading guilty to charges of child pornography, an Abilene man has been sentenced to 28 years in federal prison.
According to law enforcement, Larry Don Sparks Jr. was flagged by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children after he uploaded and sent a picture of a 13 or 14-year-old girl exposing herself on Facebook.
Sparks told investigators that when he uploaded child pornography to Facebook messenger he was “being stupid.”
A search of his cellphone revealed images of Sparks inappropriately touching a 6-year-old girl on his phone.
In August, Sparks pleaded guilty to production of child pornography.
He was formally sentenced to 28 years in prison and 15 years of supervised release.
