Candlelight Vigil Held for Infant Who Died After Being Injected with Heroin

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – A Candlelight vigil was held Monday night for the infant who was killed by a heroin overdose in November. 

The vigil was held, on Dec. 7, at the Tom Green County Court House. A number of people including family members, local officials and law enforcement gathered to show thier love for the girl. 

The crowd sang songs as with their candles during a very emotional event. 

"It's just terrible," said one woman. "You would never think it would happen to someone this young."

Brixlee Marie Lee died of a drug overdose after she was born inside of a home in San Angelo. The child never saw the outside of the home. For more see: Police: 2-Month-Old San Angelo Infant Injected with Heroin Dies

The Tom Green County Coalition Against Violence and the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office help put together the event.
