Man Arrested After Allegedly Killing His Father

BUDA, TX – A 42-year-old man is facing murder charges after he allegedly killed his father.

According to the Hays County Sheriff's Office, on Saturday afternoon Damien Montague Roberts was arguing with 65-year-old Darrell Thierry.

According to law enforcement, Roberts struck his father and rendered him unconscious. He then went into a bedroom where he got a handgun and shot Thierry multiple times.

When deputies attempted to arrest Roberts, he pushed them away in an attempt to escape. Deputies were able to get him inside the patrol car and he was transported to the Hays County Jail.

Roberts has been charged with first-degree murder and third-degree attempted escape from custody while confined.
