PT Cruiser and Semi Involved in Crash on South Koenigheim Street

Several northbound lanes on Koenigheim Street at the Highland Blvd. intersection are blocked after a Chrysler PT Cruiser was involved in a crash with a truck tractor pulling a semi-trailer.

Police, firefighters, and medics are on the scene. So far, there appear to be no injuries. The crash occurred just befor 3 p.m. Thursday.

The PT Cruiser was northbound on Koenigheim in the outside lane. The semi truck was eastbound on Highland. There is no traffic light at this intersection. Police said that the truck driver did not see the black PT Cruiser and pulled in front of it. A citation was given to the truck driver for failure to yield the right-of-way. Speed was not a factor, police said. No one was transported to the hospital.
