Veterans Day Parade Fills Downtown San Angelo

SAN ANGELO, TX — The Veterans Day parade filled the streets of downtown San Angelo on Saturday.

The parade kicked off at 11:00 with dozens of floats from different groups around town.

There were also a number of local marching bands from across San Angelo and the Concho Valley that participated in the event.

Although it is unknown the exact number of people who attended the event, people lined up completely around the parade route.

Veterans Day is celebrated every year on Nov. 11 and it is to honor the service men and women who risked their lives fighting for American freedom.

Veterans in the parade ranged from those in Vietnam, Korea, Desert Storm, and so much more.
