SAN ANGELO, TX -- The Christmas season is fast approaching, and Wreaths Across America is focused on delivering wreaths to servicemembers across the country.
This year's campaign will take place on Saturday, December 19 beginning at 11:00 a.m.
"Wreaths Across America will be at Belvedere Memorial Park, All Vet Cemetery to Remember and Honor our veterans through the laying of Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country's fallen heroes and the act of saying the name of each and every veteran aloud," stated the San Angelo Composite Squadron Wreaths Across America on their official website.
In San Angelo, wreaths are distributed in two different locations: Belvedere Memorial Park Cemetery and Grape Creek Cemetery.
To date, 74 wreaths have been sponsored, but the organization needs at least 226 more wreaths.
"We look forward to working with the citizens of San Angelo helping us Remember our veterans that gave of themselves for our freedoms."
Due to COVID-19, everyone in attendance will be required to wear a mask and attendance may be limited.
Those interested in volunteering can visit wreathsacrossamerica.org and search for the San Angelo chapter.
One of the easiest ways to make a difference is by sponsoring a wreath.
The organization offers multiple buying options for sponsors, with one wreath costing only $15.
