The weekly immunization clinic scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 11, at the San Angelo-Tom Green County Health Department will be conducted on Monday, Nov. 10, instead because of the Veterans Day holiday.
The weekly clinics are open to walk-ins (no appointments) from 8 a.m.-11:30 a.m. and from 1 p.m.-4:30 p.m. at the Health Department, 2030 Pulliam St., Suite 8. Those seeking vaccines must present updated shot records at the time of the visit; there are no exceptions to this requirement.
The immunization clinic will return to its normal Tuesday on Nov. 18.
The cost for children up to 18 years old is $22 per visit per child. For adults ages 19 and older, the cost is $22 per shot.
To receive a state-funded vaccine, patients must meet Texas Vaccines for Children (TVFC) eligibility requirements. For children, those are: no health insurance for the child or health insurance does not cover vaccines; eligible for Medicaid; or of American Indian or Alaskan Native descent. The eligibility requirement for adults is that they have no health insurance.
Tuberculosis testing is also offered at the immunization clinics at a cost of $20.
