SAN ANGELO, TX – Ten cows were killed in a tractor-trailer fire on US-67 northeast of San Angelo early Friday morning.
Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper Justin Baker said at the scene that the driver of the big rig pulled over as he was headed toward San Angelo on US-67.
The driver saw the fire and attempted to unhitch from the trailer.

Trooper Baker says ten cows were killed in the fire and two are still missing.
The driver of the 18-wheeler wasn't injured and no other vehicles were involved.
Traffic was diverted onto City Farm Rd. for hours.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
