Car Crashes into Oakes St. Bridge

A black Nissan Altima has crashed into the bridge on S. Oakes St. causing severe damage to the front end of the vehicle. 

The Altima was the only car involved in the crash, and was traveling north on S. Oakes when the driver lost control and hit the curb of the bridge, bounced off and hit the other side. He was transported to the hospital for treatment.

San Angelo police, Ladder 1 and Medic 1 tended the scene.

The lone passenger of the vehicle, a dog, was not injured in the crash.
