SAN ANGELO, TX – A San Angelo man was arrested Wednesday after prosecutors claim he sexually assaulted a child.
According to the indictment, in Oct. 2012, Nathan Burnett allegedly touched the child's privates.
He is charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child with an enhancement due to him being a prior felon for possession of methamphetamine.
He was originally indicted on the charge in August of 2019. Burnett asked for a court appointed attorney on Oct. 10 who then motioned for a speedy trial a month later.
Burnett was arrested for this charge on June 10. His initial pre-trial begins August 4 at 2 p.m.
He remains in the Tom Green Jail in lieu of a $100,000 bond.
