Christoval VFD: Controlled Burns in the Area

CHRISTOVAL, TX – The Christoval Volunteer Fire Department sent out a notice Thursday informing the public of two prescribed burns near Christoval.

According to the CVFD, on May 28, two prescribed fires today in Christoval area, one in FM 2335 area and other near Mineral Wells rd.

Prescribed fires reduce future wildfire risk, help control cactus and woody brush encroachment, as well as restore water to the aquifer.

Crews will be out there today making sure the fire does not get out of control.
