Overnight Camping at Twin Buttes Reservoir Resumes Monday

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – Twin Buttes will join the Texas state parks in allowing people to return to camping overnight on May 18. 

As previously reported, on May 6, the Texas Parks and Wildlife announced that they would start allowing overnight camping again on May 18. Here is the story: Camping in State Parks Resumes in May

Now Texas Game Warden Cynde Aguilar confirmed that Twin Buttes will reopen fully on Monday. 

"We will be opening with no limits," said Aguilar. "The only thing we will looking for is the limited use permit." 

Aguilar also commented that they will be tough on littering as parks reopen. "We don't want to have another situation like what happened in Pugh Park." said Aguilar referring to the amount of trash that was dumped in Christoval's Pugh Park. The San Angelo State Park will reopen as well for overnight stay but their's will have limitations.
