Man Accused of Drugging Child Before Assaulting Her

 

SAN ANTONIO, TX -- Juan Antonio Mendez has been arrested after he allegedly injected a child with heroin and then sexually assaulting her

According to KABB, the 42-year-old man told the child, who is younger than 14, that injecting her with drugs was a "cool thing to do."

The child told authorities Mendez injected her with heroin several times and investigators found several puncture marks on the victim's arms and feet.

According to the arrest report, the child claims Mendez sexually assaulted her multiple times. The child believes she may have been sold for sex by Mendez, but cannot remember because she was "heavily under the influence of heroin."

Mendez has a lengthy criminal record and has been arrested for drugs, weapons violations, and robbery.

He is now charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child.
