Coronavirus: Seven More Detainees at Immigration Processing Facility Test Positive

 

ANSON, TX – Seven more detainees at the Bluebonnet Immigration Processing Facility in Anson have tested positive for coronavirus according to Jones County Judge Dale Spurgin.

Meanwhile, an additional 19 detainees are awaiting test results.

Spurgin also claimed that all 26 detainees have been housed in the same unit as the detainee who previously tested positive on Tuesday. On Friday San Angelo LIVE revealed an employee at the Blue Bonnet Immigration Processing Facility also tested positive. 

The seven additional cases on Sunday brings the total number of positive cases in Jones County up to 12.

Spurgin also states the positive cases from the Robertson and Middleton Housing Units will be added when the Jones County Health Authority receives written report from TDCJ.
