Coronavirus: McCoy's Confirms Employee Tested Positive

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – McCoy’s confirmed on Wednesday, April 15 that one of their employees tested positive for COVID-19.

In a statement on Facebook, the store announced they would temporarily close for a deep clean conducted by a professional service on Thursday morning.

According to management, the employee was not feeling well, went home, sought medical care and was tested for coronavirus. Once the diagnosis was confirmed, the store undertook measures to ensure the safety of its customers and employees.

  • The San Angelo store temporarily closed for a deep cleaning.
  • Team members were sent home with full pay.
  • The store notified those who were in close contact with employees, which resulted in several employees being sent home with paid leave.
  • The store reopened Thursday, April 16 at noon.

“We will continue to take steps to implement the federal, state, and local guidance to keep our teams and customers,” said President Meagan McCoy Jones.
