Coronavirus: Jones County Issues Burn Ban After Confirming 3rd Case

 

ANSON, TX – After announcing its third case of coronavirus on Monday, Jones County is implementing extra measures to protect its citizens.

According to KTXS, County Judge Dale Spurgin identified the patient as a woman in her 50s who is currently self-quarantining. The case is pending investigation to determine how she was exposed to the virus.

After extending the local disaster declaration the county also issued a burn ban to "limit the unnecessary exposure of COVID-19 to first responders going to fire."
