Coronavirus: Paint Rock ISD Closed for the Rest of the School Year

PAINT ROCK, TX – The Paint Rock Independent School District is the first in the Concho Valley to announce it will be closed for the remainder of the school year because of coronavirus.

Here's a statement from Paint Rock ISD Superintendent Ron Cline:

Out of an abundance of caution and concern for the safety and well-being of its students, parents, teachers, and staff, the Paint Rock Independent School District will remain closed for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year. The district’s teachers and staff will continue to provide on-line and long distance instruction as well as meal services for our students.

Both High School and Kindergarten Graduations will still take place in a modified arrangement.  Both graduations will be live-streamed.  Details are still being worked out.

The district has been providing on-line and long distance instruction, as well as meal service for its students since Monday, March 16 (the first day of school following Governor Abbott’s original emergency declaration).

The faculty and staff have done an incredible job serving our students, parents and community during these difficult times.
