SAN ANGELO, TX – The City of San Angelo has declared that as of this time garage sales are not permitted earlier this afternoon. The notice comes on the heels of the third confirmed case of Coronavirus in Tom Green County.
On Wednesday, the city released a detailed list that explained the regulations and guidelines that are currently in place, as well as a breakdown of what types of businesses can remain open during the social distancing period.
Currently, grocery stores, building supply stores, auto repair stores, gas stations, drug stores/pharmacies, daycares and hotels may stay open. Businesses that operate massage parlors, gym facilities, hair and nail salons, tattoo parlors, and food courts must remain closed.
Restaurants, bars, and food trucks are currently only serving to-go customers.
Businesses that remain open are required to comply with the 10 person rule and must sanitize areas of high contact.
The 10 Person Rule remains, prohibiting the gatherings of more than 10 people at a public or private event. Weddings, funerals, parties, sporting events, conferences, and churches must all follow this rule.
Citizens should maintain a distance of six feet per person and only leave their homes when necessary.
