SAN ANGELO, TX — “No media is allowed, especially San Angelo LIVE!,” a woman claiming to be a representative of the South Concho Community Mobile Home and RV Park at 4100 Ben Ficklin Road said as she confronted reporter Manny Diaz.
We were told before we set out to investigate that one person died in a crash in the middle of the trailer park after the driver rammed a sedan into a tree there. At the scene were multiple police cruisers and a San Angelo Fire Department pumper truck. We did not see any ambulances.
No one would confirm if anyone died. Although, police had deployed cones around the crash scene as if they were conducting an in-depth crash investigation, as is the procedure when a crash involves a major injury or death.
A car lodged into a tree was visible from where reporter Diaz was before being pushed off the property. The trailer park representative called for a police officer to hasten Diaz’s departure. The police officer told Diaz the area was private property and asked Diaz to leave. He didn’t offer any information about what had happened. The officer was not among the traffic investigators.
No other information could be gathered about the mysterious crash or how it happened.
We received word of the incident at around 9:30 p.m. on Thursday night, March 12, 2020. What are the property owners covering up?
