SAN ANGELO, TX – Locally Heavy Rain and a Few Severe Thunderstorms Possible Tonight into Wednesday morning across portions of West Central Texas.
Areas of moderate to heavy rain are expected to develop tonight across West Central Texas. Rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible.
Some of the storms could produce 1 to 1.5 inches per hour. Runoff from this heavy rain may cause localized flash flooding tonight into Wednesday morning.
Strong to severe thunderstorms are expected tonight mainly along and south of a line from San Angelo to Brownwood.
The main hazards are large hail and damaging winds. An isolated tornado is possible tonight mainly along and south of a line from Sonora to Mason.
Be sure you have at least two ways to receive a warning and know your safe place to shelter.
One of those ways should be an All Hazards NOAA Weather Radio.
A strong upper low will be interacting with a stalled front and plenty of low level moisture across the area.
