COLEMAN, TX – An airplane that took off out of Abilene Regional Airport has crashed in the vicinity of Coleman and multiple agencies were searching for it Thursday morning.
According to KTXS, Thursday morning a Beechcraft King Air occupied by three people disappeared in northeast of Coleman near the Callahan County Line.
Troopers with the Texas Department of Public Safety have confirmed the plane went missing from radar around 6:00 a.m.
They believe the King Air has gone down but authorities have yet to find the plane.
Crews are currently searching east of Highway 283.

The crash site of the Beechcraft BE20 Super King Air has been identified west of Lake Coleman as of 9:20 a.m.
According to KTXS, the FAA confirmed the aircraft dropped off the radar this morning while attempting to return to Abilene Regional Airport after the pilot reported electrical problems.
According to Flight Aware, the plane took off from Abilene Regional Airport at 5:40 a.m. and crashed at 6:03 a.m. The plane was flying at 12,000 feet and traveling at 224 mph when it went into a steep descent.
