Septuagenarian Pilot Survives West Texas Plane Crash

 

GARDEN CITY, TX – An elderly man was taken to the hospital Wednesday after crashing his plane in Glasscock County. 

According to the Glasscock County Sheriff's Office, deputies with the GCSO responded to a plane crash on the Northwest side of the county. 

Glasscock County EMT's were dispatched to the area and transported a 76-year-old pilot to a Midland Hospital. 

The pilot has not been identified at this time but officials say he was from the Permian Basin. They also claimed the plane had been in Abilene and was returning to Odessa. 

The FAA is currently investigating.
