SAN ANGELO, TX - As Black Friday kicks off the biggest shopping weekend of the year, don't forget to support local shops on Small Business Saturday. November 30th is a perfect opportunity to shop at local vendors and stimulate economic growth in the community.
Small Business Saturday is a nationwide movement that aims to promote local businesses. This year there are a couple of events are going on this Saturday so make sure to check them out.
The Angelo State University Small Business Development Center, Downtown San Angelo, Inc., the Railway Museum of San Angelo, and the San Angelo Chamber of Commerce are proud to work together and provide a list of local shops and restaurants participating in Small Business Saturday.
Before heading out to shop stop by the Railway Museum (703 S. Chadbourne) from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. for a chance to take a picture with Santa (by donation), tour the museums and see local vendors. The first 100 adult guests will receive Shop Small Totes with discount cards and coupons.

The San Angelo VFW (125 S. Browning St.) will also be hosting a Small Business Saturday event. From 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. check out the nearly 30 vendors that will be onsite; swag bags will be provided to the first 25 shoppers. Hourly door prize drawings with prizes donated by vendors will be available at the event.
