Police Identify Abilene Man Who Led Officers in Two-County Chase

 

ABILENE, TX – DPS officers have identified the suspect that led them on a two-county chase yesterday afternoon as Christopher Charles Minor, 29, of Abilene. Minor is facing multiple charges after he “threatened troopers with a gun." 

Minor was taken into custody after officers shot Minor after he exited the vehicle with a gun and made threats. No information is available regarding where the suspect was injured or how many officers fired their weapon at the scene.

Minor was transported to Mitchell County Hospital in Colorado City to be treated for injuries. He was later taken to Hendrick Medical Center for further medical treatment. According to Abilene Reporter News Minor was “taken to the jail on Tuesday and released to DPS custody the following day.”

The investigation by Texas Rangers is currently ongoing.
