The officer talked to the people on scene and determined that a black Ford Escape was in the right hand lane with a white Ford F-250 with a trailer connected beside it traveling south on sunset.
The other car, a silver Toyota Corolla, was headed east on Sherwood and ran the red light. This is when the Corolla hit the Escape causing it to hit the truck and roll.
The driver of the F-250 and the Corolla did not go to the hospital.
After determining the cause of the crash, the officer gave the driver of the Corolla a field sobriety test. Reporters on scene said he barely got past the first few steps before giving up.
Officers confirmed that the man was taken to the Tom Green County Jail for driving while intoxicated and disregarding a red light. More charges could be pending.
