Assault, Theft and Drugs Lead Bookings Wednesday

Traffic in and out of the jail was high on Wednesday, when 38 inmates were booked into and 34 were released from custody.

Assault, marijuana, possession and theft charges all appeared most frequently on Wednesday's report, each accounting for five charges shared among inmates booked. Several of those were jailed on multiple charges, warrants and committments.

DWI accounted for an additional four charges, followed by two evading arrest, two fraud, two credit card abuse, one drug possession, one resisting arrest, and one on disorderly conduct charge.

A final inmate, Cornielus Tyrone Cormier, was booked on evading arrest in a motor vehicle after Wednesday evening's car chase, as well as injury to a child/elderly/disabled person and three committments.
