SAN ANGELO, TX -- A father and son escaped injury after their GMC rolled on US Highway 87 on Tuesday.
Sgt. Taylor with the Texas Department of Public Safety said the GMC was switching lanes on the road to pass a slower vehicle. It then clipped a passing vehicle in the inside lane.
That caused the GMC to lose control to which Sgt. Taylor said the driver overcorrected and rolled into a barrow ditch.
Both the driver and his son were initially trapped in the vehicle following the crash. The father escaped through the sunroof before they got the seatbelt off the son and pulled him through the back.
Neither were injured, but the driver of the GMC was cited for an unsafe lane change.
