MELVIN, TX -- One person had to be flown by AirMed 1 following a horrific head-on crash near Melvin early Monday morning.
According to a Facebook post by Brady Fire/EMS, the crash occurred around 3:25 a.m. Monday morning on US Highway 87 North. An 18-wheeler and a red pickup truck collided head-on "just past Melvin" on the highway, the post said.
Two people were injured in the crash. The driver of the 18-wheeler was transported by ambulance with non life threatening injuries, the post said. The post did not specify who was flown to the hospital, but that they had to be "extricated by fire personnel" which indicates they were probably in the pickup truck.
Pictures from the Brady Fire Department depict the cab of the four-door truck detached from the frame during the crash.
Along with the Brady Fire Department, the Melvin Volunteer Fire Department and the Texas Department of Public Safety worked the crash.
This is a developing story.

ROFLMAO......... Story says TWO people (2), were injured in the crash.... Goes on to say the driver of the 18 wheeler was transported by ambulance. There is obviously a red pickup involved. .... ONE person (1) was extricated and flown to the hospital but the story says it was not specified which one it was. The story speculates that the one flown was from the red pickup............. DO YOU RECKON !!!!!!!!!!
